Bartels' Latest Book Receives Literary Award

Nebraska author, Alan J. Bartels, has been exploring the Sandhills region since he was a child growing up in Greeley County. He's been telling stories from the region for more than two decades – first as a freelance writer, then as editor of Nebraska Life Magazine for 11 years – and more recently in several books. His most recent volume, Secret Nebraska Sandhills: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure, has just received the Literary Titan Gold Book Award for nonfiction.
