A Fire for Agriculture Brings Scheideler Home

There's a real fire burning in the depths of Sandhills Biochar, a new business located north of North Loup, NE.

That fire starts with Treaven Scheideler and his passion for agriculture - particularly his vision for turning one of Nebraska's most persistent invasive species, cedar trees, into something of value and that can benefit the land for years to come. What stemmed from a high school physics project has morphed into an idea for a business built around improving soil health, creating long-term land value and finding a productive purpose for trees that are often viewed as a nuisance.
