    Dr. Dale G. Zikmund, 89, of Kearney passed away surrounded by his family on Sept. 8, 2026, at Brookstone Gardens. Dale was born Jan. 3, 1937, to George and Murl (Bartlett) Zikmund.     The Ord Chanticleers continued their strong start to the season Friday night, improving to 3-0 with a 41-6 home victory over the Valentine Badgers. Ord opened the scoring in the first quarter when Jordan Williams connected with Beau Wells for a 37-yard touchdown pass.
